Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP Operations, the Director, Learning & Development, is the single point of contact for all business functions to access best in class Learning & Development (L&D) support. They ensure consistency in the delivery and application of training standards across the business and oversees the planning, prioritization, and strategic development of new training programs and initiatives, ensuring that these programs and initiatives are consistent and aligned with the business goals and objectives. The Director, Learning & Development is responsible for both strategy and tactical execution. To this end, the Director is responsible for cultivating partnerships with business leaders to analyze, define, review, coordinate, and implement functional, professional and management training programs in support of the business achieving its goals. The Director leads the training development projects from conception to completion. They ensure alignment of the training content to the appropriate role, and monitor feedback on launched programs to ensure quality and internal customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Leads the Endpoint Academy; builds iterative curriculum, hosts and delivers content to Academy members.
- Directs the needs assessment for training and staff development to enhance the effectiveness of employee performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
- Designs and develops training programs for management and non-management support employees.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans.
- Independently supports business units with development and set up of curriculum for key roles within the organization.
- Delivers engaging and instructional learning opportunities across the organization; both virtually and in-person.
- Ensures curriculum is optimized – the right amount of learning for each role, and that the content is delivered at the right time (JIT) and in the most appropriate format.
- In partnership with HR and Department Managers, identifies performance and development needs that can be supported through learning solutions.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of employee accomplishments and performance.
- Partner with the new employee orientation team to identify areas of improvement and engagement to enhance overall retention.
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance
- Contributes to mentoring, coaching, engagement and performance interventions.
- Balances multiple projects with varying degrees of complexity. Coordinates project updates, holds cross-functional and project team members to deliver on time and with quality.
- Facilitates feedback loops, capturing feedback from training sessions and lessons learned, modifying future sessions in accordance with feedback.
- Reviews evaluations of training courses, objectives and accomplishments.
- Leverages strengths of current Training team member, and creates strategy for how the Learning & Development team can continue to grow based on business and operational needs.
- Demonstrates strong business acumen, knowledge of endpoint’s business and the industry.
- Interacts with all levels of the organization; influences senior leadership to support training initiatives and learning solutions
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Provides leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive, supportive, and inclusive work environment.
- Strives for process simplification – reduces duplication of learning activities where applicable, identifies training requirements as “essential” versus “nice to have.”
- Works in partnership with QTC to ensure training compliance is met
- In partnership with Talent Acquisition, identifies potential university partnerships to develop feeder programs to the Endpoint Academy. Serves as a brand ambassador for endpoint and the Academy.
Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources related fields, in business management, or in the scientific or medical related fields, or equivalent
- Professional certifications a plus
Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in a training role
- 3+ years mentoring and managing others
- Prior experience supporting new hires in onboarding, orientations, new hire trainings, or mentorship programs
Skills:
- Training execution and delivery; excellent presentation skills and ability to speak in front of large groups
- Curriculum development
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, knowledge of Cornerstone a plus
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and project management
- Experience working with online learning repositories, such as LinkedIn Learning
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, skills
- Comprehensive knowledge or relevant software, MS Office Suite, SharePoint
