The Director, Strategic Alliances is responsible for the development and stewardship of strategic partnerships, helps establish and/or strengthen relationships with business partners, enhances quality of business-to-business service, identifies opportunities for new alliances, and develops strategies to ensure the partnerships are profitable and beneficial to all parties.
As Leadership Team member, ensures the continued development and management of a visionary, mission-driven, impactful and efficient organization and the implementation of effective decision-making processes related to budget, organizational structure, priority-setting, and ongoing program evaluation that are consistent with endpoint’s core values to be an industry “Partner of Choice”.
Within the Commercial team, the Director, Strategic Alliances is charged with identifying and vetting all potential partners of endpoint, as well as managing each relationship based on criteria developed in tandem with endpoint’s commercial and financial interests.
The Director, Strategic Alliances will be a principal stakeholder and representative with R&D and endpoint Product, acting as Commercial representative and a liaison to work with department heads to support and align the needs and goals.
Responsibilities:
- To define, develop, and manage partnership relationships and set the strategic direction in line senior management goals and strategies as the “Partner of Choice”. Build a clear, concise global partner strategy and business plan and establish a centralized and ongoing partner/alliance management process and governance.
- Developing strong relationships across the organization and industry to maximize revenue streams, reduce overhead, and explore other initiatives
- To work alongside other key Director and department Heads across the organization to ensure endpoint maximizes all business, partnership, integration, technical overhead reduction, and risk reduction opportunities.
- Lead efforts to identify and promote metrics and KPIs in collaboration with the Commercial and Business Intelligence teams to consistently measure the effectiveness and efficiency of partnerships programs and key B2B initiatives and appropriately drive continuous improvement.
- Drive strategic enterprise-level integrations with the intent of constantly moving security and compliance upstream “to the left” to be proactive, reduce operational burden, and reduce risk for endpoint and partners
- Assess the strategic needs and priorities of the organization through a consultative approach, and develop solutions that meet those needs.
- In collaboration with the Commercial team and Product Development, develop the business case and financial justification for new programs and enhancements.
- Develop and manage key relationships with outside partners, such as vendors and sponsors, as well as internal super organizational partner unit heads and executives.
- Establish and maintain communications with the organization that provides visibility and understanding of the strategic partnerships and initiatives.
- Provide operational oversight that focuses on the integrity, scalability, cost effectiveness and overall process efficiency in partnership operations.
- Lead efforts in collaboration with Financial, business and marketing to evaluate return on investment and effective pricing for partnered programs or technology.
- Stay ahead of staffing for the alliance management function and ensure that all group members maintain proper alliance management credentials.
- Oversee and support implementation plans across all stages of alliance life cycle
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and/or appropriate experience
Experience:
- 7-10 years’ in leadership roles in the life sciences industry, preferably in IRT.
