We are looking for a Software Engineer I to ensure the highest availability, uptime and reliability for our Fintech customers across all channels.

 

Software Engineer I’s will use their strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot across our cutting-edge Platform and code. You will mostly be talking to customers on Slack. We are here today because of our customers and it’s very important for us to provide them the very best experience we can.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop an understanding of Synapse systems & products and how they fit into the financial landscape
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for all of Engineering
  • Translate logging & monitoring alerts along with complex technical opportunities into engineering semantics providing quality & detailed analysis and explanations 
  • Monitor Slack-channels for alerting and follow SOPs to identify root cause and document implementation & solutioning in Jira
  • Escalate to Subject Matter Experts to take items through to resolution 
  •  Continuously update your own knowledge base & SOPs through discovery

What You Will Bring:

  •  2+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • An ability to work independently within a small, fast-paced team
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues across Platform and Code
  •  Desire to learn modern tools and technologies
  • Strong understanding & experience with the ability to navigate monitoring and log aggregating frameworks such as Kafka, Logstash, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
  • Some experience with ELK, MongoDB, Redshift, MySQL, and Redis databases is a plus but not required
  •  Experience with Python & GitHub
  • An entrepreneurial spirit and unrelenting passion to deliver the best service possible 
  • The ability to implement feedback, learn quickly, and contribute new ideas
  • A general concern for the wellbeing of others and the desire to work on problems that maximize a positive future for humanity
