Lightstep provides the most advanced firefighting, performance analysis, and root-cause analysis technology available to organizations today. We continue to grow our talented, low-ego, team! We believe that we should always align our actions toward a common purpose, that trust is paramount and must be cultivated, that the most valuable team members multiply rather than add, and that we shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously (except when we’re writing way-too-long sentences about our values). We believe that assembling and retaining an inclusive and diverse team is the best way to grow a successful company.
Lightstep is looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to help support and grow the developer ecosystem for both the OpenTelemetry project and Lightstep’s platform. We are seeking people who enjoy creating tools, content, and resources to help developers successfully adopt and use observability.
What you’ll do:
- Support the Lightstep developer community through the creation of tutorials, blogs, videos, podcasts, and other content demonstrating key observability concepts and practices.
- Join our efforts to make the OpenTelemetry project a success by contributing documentation, workshops, code samples, and other educational resources as needed.
- Become a part of the larger observability community, answer questions, and advocate for best practices in DevOps through your speaking, writing, and social engagements.
You would be a great addition if….
- You’re an excellent communicator both through the written word and through speech.
- You like to help people solve problems, and have a passion for making things easier.
- You embrace anti-boring thought, and are always trying to think of creative new ways to get a message across or get things done better.
Bonus points if …
- You’ve had some experience working or contributing to an open source project.
- You have a background in software development or DevOps.
- You’ve got a knack for editing videos, podcasts, and other multimedia.
