Your Mission

We are now looking for someone to take sole responsibility for the Tray Embedded documentation to raise it to the next level. This will be a highly technical role, requiring an expert knowledge of Tray and the ability to build robust workflows in accordance with best practices.

When documenting Tray Embedded features, you will need to be able to grasp technical concepts quickly, build feature-based workflows that are applicable to real-world scenarios and document them in a simple and concise way that allows our customers to get what they need in as short a time as possible.

You will be an integral part of the Embedded product squad - attending standups, meeting with product and engineering managers to scope requirements, and discussing and documenting features with developers.

What you will do

  • Write concise and clear documentation for all Tray Embedded features in the public-facing documentation
  • Maintain the Tray Embedded API documentation ensuring it is up-to-date with all endpoint information
  • Maintain an internal Embedded Knowledge Base to assist Customer Success in getting customers live with their integrations
  • Manage an internal board of questions coming in from Tray.io sales representatives who need clarification on questions asked by prospective customers
  • Assist in writing and editing internal engineering documentation of Embedded features

About You

  • An aptitude for experimenting with software and APIs
  • Experience of making use of software in a business environment, and what data means in different contexts
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • A basic working knowledge of coding, especially javascript, preferably with some genuine coding experience
  • An understanding of some technical concepts such as data mapping, data syncing, ETL
