About the role

The Billing team is responsible for building and improving Envoy's core billing infrastructure. This team strives to create a reliable platform for customers to manage their Envoy products and subscriptions. In addition, this team works closely with cross-functional teams, such as Finance, Growth, etc., to provide flexible internal toolings with the goal of increasing efficiency.

You will

• Design and build the core components for billing features
• Improve the foundational infrastructure that powers our billing and payment systems
• Identity opportunities in our product suites and cross foundational workflow to increase the efficiency
• Drive engineering projects from inception to completion with a sense of urgency
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to plan and execute on product engineering roadmap

You have  

• 3+ years of software engineering experience or coding experience
• Built or worked on large scale business-critical, reliable, and performant systems
• BS / MS in Computer Science or a related technical field
• Implemented customer facing features and deployed to production environment
• Created and supported APIs (REST, JSON/HTTP, GraphQL)
• Worked closely with Web or Mobile clients

Nice to have 

• Experience with Ruby, Java, or Kotlin
• Experience with React or Ember
• Experience with DBs - SQL / NoSQL
• Experience with Heroku or AWS
• Experience with billing or payment related projects
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Experience contributing to open-source project or library
