The Role:
At Zeus Living, the Home Designer uses creative expertise to bring our research backed design approach to life. We believe that a great collaboration between design, operations, and product leads to an even better resident experience. The Home Designer is as resourceful as they are inventive, an organized problem solver, self-motivated with a proactive communication style, forward thinking with details and schedules relative. The Home Designer is responsible for designing Zeus homes based on our research backed standards while contributing to operational excellence. The Home Designer will have time and budget targets for each design that are critical to sustainable growth for Zeus. This person should be able to collaborate easily with other teams and make decisions based on in the moment cost/benefit analysis. This person should have a background in interior design or visual merchandising.
This position reports to the Head of Home Design and Brand Experience.
What You'll Do:
- Create original designs for Zeus homes that use the Zeus Living design point of view and in-depth knowledge of the Zeus Living assortment of furnishings
- Leverage research and personas to determine the best design elements for individual spaces, considering the architecture and the environment
- Use floor plans, sketch
- Design 10 homes up to 20 bedrooms per week
- Partner with colleagues in the field to provide input into staging
About You:
- 2 years of experience working in a visually creative field; preferably staging or visual merchandising
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to make high quality trade off decisions with very short notice
