Lead Senior Analyst, Financial Operations

Zeus is looking for a Senior FinOps Analyst Lead to join our Finance team. This dynamic and strategic role will report directly to the Head of Finance Operations and will be responsible for taking the lead on special projects, streamlining and improving our core business vendor billing processes, and recommending and implementing new policies and programs as they relate to our financial and accounts payable operations. Zeus is a real estate property management, technology start-up, which means this Lead role will have an immediate opportunity to grow rapidly with the company and have a direct impact on our success.

What You'll Do:

• A focus on special projects: 
• - Lead FinOps initiatives and project manage related processes, developments, and key objectives
• -Document and maintain FinOps internal processes and contribute to process improvements, system mapping, and assist with implementing change management
• -Play a key role in our NetSuite ERP implementation, with leading system improvements, enhancements, and special projects that relate to Accounts Payable
• -Designing new processes, streamlining existing FinOps processes, and ensuring updated processes are stable and maintainedWork closely with all Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams to automate manual processes, implement best practices, and ensure our business needs are met with a cross-functional lens
• Work closely with business-side Engineering teams to understand current processes and issues, how proposed solution changes to platforms/systems will impact financial operations, and to assist with the development of new logic and financial setup
• Support the Finance Team as a subject matter expert for essential processes — Key FinOps and Account Payable Ongoing Responsibilities: Full cycle accounts payable
• Manage vendor portals and communication
• Process vendor invoices timely and accurately
• Maintain accounts payable subledger, and research and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain databases by entering, verifying, and supporting data
• Prepare annual 1099 reportingLead a team of AP Coordinators on special projects, department improvements and month-end tasks
• Prepare month-end reconciliations and reporting which include, but are not limited to, accruals, GL account reconciliations, assist Operations to facilitate monthly P&L reviews, and month-to-month variance analysis
• Manage key procedures to complete all weekly and monthly financial close activities and reporting models
• Monitor and perform daily finance operations and help manage ongoing initiatives
• Propose and implement policies and initiatives to keep all recurring financial operations aligned with our strategy while overseeing their continuous development and communication to both our internal teams and other business partners

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, preferred
• 5+ years’ experience or any equivalent combination of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved
• 3+ years’ of progressive accounting/finance experienceExperience with NetSuite, Bill.com, Looker, or other large ERP or financial data systemsIntermediate to advanced MS Excel and presentation skills
• Highly organized and detail-orientedSelf-driven with the ability to work collaboratively and lead a team
• Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast paced, hyper-growth environment
• Strong analytical and account reconciliation skills
• Solution-oriented, proposing new solutions to problems and processes
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams outside of the Finance Department
