Job Description Summary:

The Manager of Global Compensation will play a key role on the Total Rewards team. This role will be responsible for actively managing our global compensation strategy and critical employee financial initiatives. This role will proactively identify and drive initiatives to improve Rocket’s compensation programs. This includes designing, implementing, and administering compensation policies, programs, and processes. The Manager, Global Compensation will build collaborative partnerships with HR Business Partners, key stakeholders, and leaders in the business to deliver innovative solutions for compensation, and broader HR initiatives.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Adhere to Rocket’s compensation philosophy and partner across Human Resources and the business to ensure compensation programs are delivered in alignment with compensation, total rewards and HR objectives  
  • Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders  
  • Provide consultation and partnership to identify needs and priorities, including conducting market research, internal analysis, establishing design principles, outlining implications through modeling, determining employee and cost impacts, and creating communications to the business  
  • Consult with HR Business Partners and Business Leaders on compensation challenges and solutions ranging from individual employee recommendations to unique compensation program interventions (e.g., retention programs, one-time payments, off-cycle increases, etc.)  
  • Lead the Annual Compensation Review and all related work streams. This includes project management, pay equity analysis, market survey participation, market pricing practices, salary structures, and global budget recommendations.  Manage the annual market analysis for assigned client groups including involvement in data preparation, data analysis, development and delivery of observations, and recommendations to business  
  • Partner with our Inclusion, Diversity & Equity team to ensure we monitor and measure our programs to prevent bias in our strategies  
  • Influence the direction and design innovative solutions for compensation programs by understanding the business, anticipating and diagnosing client needs, and utilizing best practice knowledge  
  • Maintain current knowledge of legal and market topics to ensure compliance including Equal Pay, minimum wage, living wage and FLSA  
  • Facilitate leadership conversations pertaining to organization and job design to identify and scope work, clarify and articulate accountabilities and develop solutions  
  • Participate in the design, communication and implementation of compensation programs and processes that are used across Rocket’s global locations  

 Experience and Qualifications: 

  • 6 + years of relevant compensation experience required  
  • Extensive knowledge of compensation practices and theory including experience in compensation program design and project management  
  • Proven track record of complex integration experience in a global, matrixed organization (North America, Europe and Asia)   
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills with the proven ability to build collaborative partnerships within HR and with Business leaders to recommend compensation solutions that solve business problems  
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in simple terms to various audiences 
  • Advanced Excel skills and spreadsheet analysis with strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to build audience-specific presentations   
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy  
  • Ability to organize and accomplish objectives independently and proactively and navigate within a growing organization  
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions highly desirable

The base salary range for this role is $114,151.00 - $142,688.50 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
