We are looking for a Strategic Operations Analyst to support the planning and execution of high-priority operational strategy projects across defense and government programs. This role combines data analysis, structured problem solving, and project coordination to help leadership make informed decisions and execute strategic priorities effectively.

The ideal candidate is a sharp analytical thinker who can operate independently, communicate complex findings clearly, and thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, structure, and analyze operational and program performance data to support strategic initiative development and decision-making

• Build dashboards, scorecards, and presentations that communicate operational strategy priorities, progress, and performance to senior leadership

• Conduct research and benchmarking on operational best practices, defense industry trends, and competitive operational models

• Support facilitation of cross-functional working sessions, strategy workshops, and executive reviews

• Track the progress of strategic operations initiatives against defined OKRs and milestones, identify risks, and develop mitigation recommendations

• Develop written deliverables including strategy memos, briefing decks, and after-action analyses

• Assist in building business cases and investment analyses for operational capability improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, Business Analytics, Political Science, or a related field

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, operations consulting, or program management, with exposure to defense or government program environments

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience preparing executive-level presentations

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting strategic planning or operations programs within DoD or the intelligence community

• Familiarity with defense acquisition frameworks (PPBE, JCIDS, or equivalent) or government contracting

• Active or previous U.S. government security clearance
