As a People Operations Specialist, you’ll join a collaborative team tasked with curating a best-in-class employee experience. You’ll be responsible for a smooth transition for new hires through the onboarding process and for ensuring data integrity in our HR tools. You will also manage employee leave of absences and visa processes with empathy, confidentiality, and a compliance mindset. You are highly organized, have impeccable attention to detail, and strive for operational excellence.

You will:
- Drive new employee onboarding: Collect and process new hire forms and manage the onboarding of new hires – including background checks, verifying employment eligibility, and creating accurate employee files. Work with managers to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
- Administers and maintains employee data, workflows, and system configuration of HRIS and other HR tools. Assists in the development of reports and dashboards.
- Facilitates leave of absences, ensures regulatory compliance, and completes required reports, audits, and filings.
- Researches and participates in the development of new and updated policies and programs. Stay abreast of HR best practices, industry standards, federal and state laws.
- Partner with attorneys to support U.S. immigration and visa processes for foreign national employees.
- Identify trends and initiative process improvements with the team to support and improve employee experience and to create operational excellence.
- Supports employees by answering questions about policies, procedures, benefits, etc.
You should have:
- At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a high-growth startup environment
- You know when to use discretion -- you can manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Working knowledge of People database systems
- Knowledge of legal implications of the employment relationship, thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws pertaining to HR
- Experience with leading immigration documentation and process
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organized, responsive, and have the ability to manage multiple projects
- Deep sense of empathy and ability to communicate across diverse groups
For Colorado* based candidates - The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates living in Colorado is between $65,000-$76,000- final offers are determined using multiple factors including experience and level of expertise. We offer a full robust benefits package and stock options. Because Clever’s base compensation is driven by location, our recruiters will be happy to discuss a salary range for other locations during the interview process.
