Making it easy to live well — whenever, wherever

At Zeus Living, we believe housing shouldn’t constrain how, where, and when you want to live. At the center of everything we do are our people—our customers, partners, and the Zeus team. That’s what our founders knew when they started Zeus Living in 2015, setting out to make renting a home easier. The goal then—and now—is to create a new, modern mode of housing, making it easy to live well—reliably, safely, comfortably, even stylishly—wherever, whenever.

We’ve grown and learned a great deal since we started. Today we’re a hardworking team of creators, problem-solvers, and strategists committed to our vision and values. Based in San Francisco and backed by Airbnb, Comcast, Bowery, and Initialized Capital, we’ve raised $90M in funding.

The Role:

We are looking for a team-centric Procurement Associate with strong organizational skills and a background in purchasing/procurement (furniture experience a big plus!). Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this role will work closely with our in-house interior design team, growth team.

What You'll Do:

  • Daily bulk purchasing from online retailers as well as wholesalers (primarily furniture)
  • Creation of purchase orders in our ERPReconciliation of what items are in process, in transit and delivered
  • Reconcile and execute financial reporting buys, including actual spend vs allocated budget
  • Keep data (in excel) up to date regarding points such as item quantities, item costs and order tracking numbers
  • Assist design with sourcing specific items when requested, making recommendations for alternatives when necessary
  • Assist in quarterly department costing exercises for evaluation of best available open market prices
  • Provide weekly purchase order, sku and financial status updates to the Supply Chain Director
  • Assist both the Director of Procurement and Warehouse Manager with inventory control
  • Work with the Director of Supply Chain on strategic 2022 projects to drive CapEx spend down
  • Function as the point of contact between retailers, wholesalers, and warehouse
  • Coordinate with vendors and Zeus Living’s own warehouse to verify product was properly received and inspected

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing
  • An organized and detail oriented nature
  • Familiarity with consumer products, sourcing, and vendor management
  • Negotiation skills
  • Established analytical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • An understanding of commercial contract conventions
  • Established Excel capabilities
  • Familiarity with back-end business systems
  • Ability to apply creative solutions to practical problems and situations where limited standardization exists
  • Knowledge of BOLs, ASNs, QC
  • Awareness of different payment methods and typical manufacturer contract terms
  • Ability to remain flexible in determining a variety of problem-solving approaches
  • Tenacious, self-starter attitude

At Zeus Living, We Are:

Transparent: honest, authentic, communication, access to info, hard truths

Humble: self-aware, ask for & accept help, inclusive, collaborative, respectful, thankful

Iterative: speedy, willing to break things, growth-minded, creative, process-driven

Human-centric: above & beyond service, surprise & delight, make things right

At Zeus Living, we believe that bringing together people who have different worldviews, personal circumstances, and experiences improves our customer service, work, environment, and one another. Diverse strengths, abilities, interests, and perspectives power the flow of innovation and creativity, which is vital to our success.
