About The Role

The Analytics team analyzes data, builds analytical frameworks, tells data stories, and makes recommendations so that Mixpanel can run on data. Since Mixpanel's mission is to enable our customers to be data-driven, it is only natural that Mixpanel itself is serious about being data-driven too. As a result our team's scope covers the entire business and product.

Responsibilities

  • Solve Mixpanel's biggest business and product question to inform our strategy and operations.
  • Define company and team metrics.
  • Conduct regular metrics reviews with company leaders.
  • Forecast metrics and attribute metrics trends to internal and external factors.
  • Investigate and resolve data quality problems.
  • Research and compile external data sources to inform business decisions.
  • Communicate analysis insights at all levels of the organization to drive positive change.

We're Looking for Someone Who Has

  • Experience driving change with recommendations rooted in data analysis.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Project management experience, with proven ability to succeed in both collaborative and independent work environments
  • Experience with business operations data a big plus
  • Experience with statistical analysis and modeling a plus
