Your Role

Your Experience:

  • Experience building, implementing, and iterating on data and/or machine learning powered products and/or conducting relevant academic research on large data sets.

  • Knowledge of machine learning practices with a focus on topics such as search and relevance, recommender systems, natural language processing, and/or Data Science concepts related to e-commerce (e.g. lifetime value, net incremental revenue, churn)

  • Experience working directly with cross-functional teams such as leadership, product management, engineering, and design

  • Experience using modern analytics tools such as Python, R, Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake, etc.

  • Ability to start, own and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance

  • Excellent communication skills — ability to succinctly communicate results and tell compelling stories with data to any audience (e.g. presenting findings and deep-dives to senior leadership)

Bonus Areas of Expertise:

  • Experience working on small, scrappy, and growing data science teams

  • Knowledge of Google Cloud technologies and Airflow

  • Mentorship of both data scientists and would-be data science partners

  • Developing and deploying production-quality machine learning pipelines and models
