Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer II

About the role 

We are looking to welcome a cloud security expert to our team with a builder background and strong collaboration skills who has a tendency to deliver on a combination of both planned projects and unplanned tasks on time.

In this role, you will be part of a hands-on security team focused on design and implementation of security solutions to our cloud infrastructure. In addition to all exciting projects, you will be responsible for reviewing technical designs and will be exposed to security findings discovered by our security researchers and penetration tester that should be addressed promptly. The ideal candidate for this role has a self-starter attitude and a doer mindset to define optimal security solutions and drive them to completion.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at 149,300 and up to 207,300, Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to 

• Enhance the security posture of our growing AWS infrastructure
• Improve the security of our K8s clusters by adding build-time and runtime security controls
• Shift security controls close to the source (IaC, Github, CI/CD, Base Images) by building automation and tooling integration
• Develop assistive automation and workflows to streamline the detection and reporting of security findings
• Establish innovative solutions to automate patching/re-building of live production systems to a near-zero vulnerability state
• Help reduce identity and network access to compute and storage resources by leveraging cloud-native capabilities and our in-house just-in-time access tool.
• Contribute to tracking and remediation of discovered security vulnerabilities

To thrive in this role, you have          

• AWS and security expertise
• Practical knowledge of Terraform (Terraform Enterprise experience is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with K8s and ideally AWS EKS
• Ability to decompose problems and plan optimum solutions
• Practical coding skills in GoLang, Ruby, or Python to develop your own automation is a huge plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
