About The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled accounting professional to be part of a growing Finance team. In this high-impact role, you will lead key day-to-day financial operations and compliance functions. You will oversee the month-end close process and partner with the Controller and peers to drive continuous improvement in financial operations. This is an opportunity to lead the development and implementation of processes and internal controls to support our growing organization. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and hands-on approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage key accounting operations including oversight of the general ledger, monthly close and financial controls as well as accounts payable and payroll
- Provide direction and mentoring to accounting staff
- Implementation of policies and procedures in anticipation of an IPO
- Accountability and hands-on involvement in all company accounting-related matters
- Oversight of the general ledger, including month-end/ quarter-end/ year-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, P&L review, etc.)
- Review payroll and be a resource for related compliance matters
- Maintain consolidation for all foreign entities
- Establish, monitor, and enforce internal policies, procedures, and controls
- Support and coordinate preparation for financial statement audits and tax compliance reporting (federal/state/sales tax filings and other compliance)
Qualifications
Skills
- 10+ years of experience in senior accounting roles, which would likely include several years with a well-respected public accounting firm
- A team player with good communication and people skills
- A track record of managing and developing staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- A self-starter who can work independently and knows when to seek guidance
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems and strong Excel skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Business required and CPA preferred

- Manages time and meetings effectively, properly leveraging managers' time
