About the role

Samsara is looking for a Senior Director, Field Activation to lead the team that brings our global enablement programs to life in the field. Reporting to the VP of Field Enablement, you'll define and execute the strategy for field-specific enablement needs, aligning your team's work to business outcomes and to the global programs built by our Skills and Leadership Development teams. Your team's time is split across three priorities: 70% driving adoption of global skill programs, 20% addressing bespoke sales team enablement needs, and 10% stakeholder engagement.

This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead the Americas Field Activation & Execution team, defining and executing the strategy for field-specific enablement needs.
  • Drive adoption of global skill programs across the field (roughly 70% of the team's focus), while addressing bespoke, sales-team-specific enablement needs (roughly 20%) and stakeholder engagement (roughly 10%).
  • Manage quarterly enablement & leadership team connects to align on business impact and emerging needs with sales leadership.
  • Provide structured feedback to the global program teams to ensure global programs meet specific field team needs.
  • Lead, coach, and develop your team of field enablement managers, building organizational depth and bench strength.
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's operating principles as we scale our enablement programs globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
  • 10+ years of experience, including 7+ years in sales as a quota-carrying Account Executive or sales manager.
  • Experience leading a field-facing enablement or sales operations team.
  • Strong track record of driving adoption of programs across a distributed sales organization.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience aligning field needs with global program teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence senior sales leaders.
An ideal candidate also has:
  • Direct experience as a frontline sales manager in addition to individual contributor sales experience.
  • A data-driven approach to measuring and reporting on program adoption.
  • Experience partnering with global enablement teams to localize programs for field needs.

Annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position is below and depends on your city of residence. Learn more about our total rewards and benefits below.
