Instawork, a digital marketplace that connects local businesses with skilled hourly professionals across the U.S., is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations, with a proven track record of success to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to our Head of Operations. This role serves as a critical member of the operations team, and is a “jill-of-all-trades” Senior Manager or Director on the operations team based out of one of our five hubs (SF, LA, Chi, Mia, or NYC). This position would lead a cross functional team responsible for the growth, quality, and management on the supply side of our marketplace.

Responsibilities

  • Act as an internal consultant defining and implementing high priority projects to drive meaningful improvements on KPIs 
  • Identify business priorities such as growth opportunities or weaknesses and help drive the team’s strategy and improve or innovate processes
  • Design processes to implement innovative online and offline user signup strategies
  • Optimize the user experience from signup to picking up their first shift
  • Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team

Who are you?

  • 2-6 years of management consulting, strategy, finance, operations, or high growth startup 
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
  • Experience leading teams - directly or as a peer - on complex product and/or project rollouts
  • A track record of solving ambiguous problems, building for the future, and seeing around corners
  • Outstanding project management, communication, and organization skills
  • SQL experience is a plus
  • An entrepreneur at heart - energized about building new things
  • A team player - willing to learn, help others, and take full ownership
  • An optimist - our company would not have endured 2020 without positive attitudes and resilience 
  • An innovator - this role is being defined for the first time, right now!
