We’re looking for a Sr. People Operations Specialist to join our People Operations team and play a key role in driving operational excellence through process improvement, automation, and scalable solutions. This role will champion continuous improvement, influence stakeholders across the business, and help scale People Operations for future growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Own, execute, and optimize People Operations processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, job and compensation changes, and offboarding.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and self-service solutions that enhance efficiency and employee experience.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Recruiting, HR Business Partners, Payroll, IT, Legal, Finance, HRIS, and vendors to deliver consistent, high-quality HR services.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, knowledge base content, training materials, workflows, and audit-ready controls.
  • Serve as a senior point of contact for employee questions and complex escalations.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives, analyze service trends, and drive adoption of new processes, tools, and ways of working.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Operations, Shared Services, or a related field.
  • Proven experience improving operational processes, simplifying workflows, and maintaining process documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus points if you also have:

  • Experience supporting a high-growth or rapidly evolving organization.
  • Experience with audits, compliance activities, or third-party vendor management.
  • Familiarity with HR technology platforms, self-service solutions, automation tools, workflow optimization, or RPA.

Talent shows up in a lot of different ways, and we mean that. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and experience levels, including military members and their spouses and those without a traditional degree or tech background. If this role speaks to you, apply.

Why You’ll Like Working on Team AppliedThe best work happens when smart people move fast, together. For over 40+ years, Applied has built technology that solves real problems for insurance professionals - and we’re still pushing what’s possible.
