The Position

Join our Warehouse Operations team at Roche and take on a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless flow of materials across our facilities. As a Warehouse Operations Specialist, you'll maintain the functional integrity of our warehouse operations while upholding the highest standards of compliance, safety, and efficiency. This position offers the opportunity to lead by example, mentor team members, and directly contribute to Roche's mission of advancing healthcare through meticulous inventory management, regulatory adherence, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated environment.

The Opportunity

  • Maintains functional operation of assigned warehouse area while ensuring compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensures accurate receipt, storage, and disbursement of materials in accordance with FDA, OSHA, Good Manufacturing Practices, and company policies.

  • Oversees orderly flow of materials from warehouse to offsite locations and internal customers while managing inventory accuracy through physical counts and system reconciliation.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for warehouse personnel to solve operational issues, drive efficiency improvements, and provide training and coaching.

  • Properly handles and stores hazardous materials in compliance with DOT, IATA, and federal regulations regarding transportation of hazardous and infectious substances.

  • Operates material handling equipment safely and maintains warehouse equipment in good working condition, issuing work orders as needed.

  • Prepares and submits daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports while maintaining auditable records of all warehouse activities.

Who you are

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of hands-on experience in a warehouse environment performing various warehousing procedures.

  • Proficiency with material handling equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, motorized lifts) and strong working knowledge of computerized inventory systems.

  • Demonstrated strong math, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively at all organizational levels.

  • Must be organized, self-directed, and conscientious with excellent time management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.

  • Able to lift up to 65 pounds and perform warehouse tasks requiring bending, kneeling, squatting, reaching, and pulling with or without reasonable accommodation.

Relocation benefits not available for this role.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $71,800 - $133,400.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
