As Commercial Legal Counsel, you will negotiate and draft complex agreements while advising internal teams on legal risks, ensuring compliance, and improving contracting processes, particularly with government transactions.

Maintain and consolidate an inventory of AI tools for the field org, track adoption and utilization, manage access requests, support AI data hygiene, create enablement communications and simple reporting, and coordinate with enablement, IT, and field stakeholders to operationalize AI tooling.

Provide post-sales technical product expertise and best-practice guidance to help customers adopt GitLab at scale via webinars, labs, workshops, and on-demand engagements. Collaborate with CSMs, AEs, and Renewals to support implementation, architecture, use-case adoption (SCM, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Agile Planning), create reusable enablement content, and act as a trusted technical advisor.

Lead the field organization's AI agenda: define enablement roadmaps, identify and scale high-value AI field use cases, drive operational transformation, build field champions, and establish governance for safe, compliant AI adoption.

Design, build, and maintain People system automations and integrations (Workato, Workday, Greenhouse, Slack, GCP). Write maintainable code (Ruby or similar), build Slack apps, manage CI/CD in GitLab, use AI/LLMs and MCP frameworks to accelerate automation, improve reliability and observability, and partner cross-functionally on scalable People technology solutions.

Manage large-scale technical consulting projects end-to-end, coordinating cross-functional teams and customers to deliver on scope, schedule, budget, and risks. Lead executive communications and escalations, support revenue recognition and change orders, improve delivery processes, metrics, tools, and templates, and collaborate with Support, Engineering, Product, and partners to resolve complex customer issues.

Engineer security improvements and maintain abuse prevention systems for the GitLab product. Maintain and extend a Ruby on Rails monolith, build detection rules for spam/AI/token/SEO abuse, expand agentic AI capabilities to reduce human-in-the-loop operations, collaborate with peer teams to harden platform defenses, automate detection and mitigation processes, and produce runbooks and operational documentation.

Lead long-range bookings and ARR demand-based modeling, forecast new business ARR by product/segment/geography, evaluate pricing/packaging and unit economics, build business cases for new products and partnerships, advise on strategic deals, and translate analysis into executive recommendations to inform guidance and board-level decisions.

Own operational processes, reporting, and programs for Customer Success Management. Translate ambiguous business questions into solutions, improve processes end-to-end, partner with Revenue Technology/Analytics, support planning (capacity, segmentation, territory), and align cross-functionally with Sales and Finance to scale CS operations.

Lead HRIS strategy and Workday architecture for a global remote workforce. Drive Workday configuration, scalable integrations, SOX-compliant controls, cross-functional programs, reporting and dashboards, stakeholder facilitation, and practical AI/automation adoption to reduce manual work and improve people technology reliability.
